This is just overheard news, I want to make that clear first. I was listening to the latest Comedy Film Nerds podcast with guest Jonathan London (listen here) when I heard this exciting news. The Marvel comic Runaways is still being made into a movie. Yes the (in my opinion) amazing Brian K. Vaughan comic about teenagers who find out their parents are super-villains is still in production. Best part of that news is that director Peter Sollett is reportedly attached to the project. Sollett is best known for directing Nick And Norah's Infinite Playlist. I really like that movie and hope he can bring some of that quirky charm to "Runaways". I'm also interested to see if this movie will be folded into the ongoing Marvel continuity, that would certainly be interesting, and in the books the Runaways do cross paths with the Avengers a couple of times. Of course this could all be hog-wash but for the time I will believe and hope for the best.
